Welcomhotel says `Namaste’ to business in Katra, Jammu.

With hospitality brands sharing news of expansion and growth especially in India’s emerging towns and cities, it truly reflects a message of the much needed slow but steady recovery of the hospitality and tourism sector in the post-vaccinated world. WelcomHotel’s Katra entry, (a managed property) needless to say, is backed by market trends and temperaments that reiterated the need for holistic hospitality offerings in semi touristic spots.

Katra can be defined as a gateway to many tourist hotspots in the region as it’s strategically located for those aiming to explore surrounding tourist attractions. The team seems to be buoyant about business as they are also focused to offer clients a well-structured culinary experience that strengthens the local for vocal appeal.

WelcomSthalika, the F&B outlet, aims to bring in quality local vegetarian cuisine to experience. As per the brand, the ingredients are sourced from the local farming community of the neighbourhood. The WelcomSthalika offers cuisine from the Jammu region, and prepared in Sattvik style bringing out the flavors predominant in Katra and adjoining areas. Some of these local preparations are Jammu Rajma, Ambal, Shingare ki Kadhi, Mewe ka kofta and Tumba ajwain aloo. The curated menu uses locally grown ingredients like Jammu Rajma, walnuts, almonds, badimasala, tumba ajwain, shahi zeera, saunf, sonth and more in traditional style.

Speaking on the launch, Anil Chadha, COO, ITC Hotels said, that the Brand Welcomhotel continues on its expansion spree with Welcomhotel Katra as the latest on its list and feels the property holds a lot of promise as it’s strategically well located.
